Step by step
Seven steps, about five minutes.
Open the Typeform card
In ConvertNow, open Integrations in the sidebar and find the Typeform card.
Connect a form
Under Connect a form, type a form name such as Newsletter quiz and pick the list in Add respondents to. Create the list under Contacts first if you do not have one.
Decide on consent
Tick the box to only add people who answer Yes to a Yes/No question on the form. This is recommended unless the form is clearly a signup.
Copy the address and secret
Click Connect. ConvertNow shows a Destination URL and a Secret. Copy both.
Add a webhook in Typeform
In Typeform, open your form, go to Connect, then Webhooks, and choose Add a webhook.
Paste both values
Paste the Destination URL as the webhook address and the Secret into the Secret field. Without the secret, ConvertNow rejects the responses.
Switch it on and test
Turn the webhook on and submit a test response. The connection in ConvertNow shows the first response arriving.
How it works
Typeform sends each response to your Destination URL and signs it with the secret. ConvertNow checks the signature, finds the email address, picks up a first and last name if the form asks for them, and adds the person to your list.
Signed requests, so only your form can add people
Responses without an email address are skipped
Unsubscribed and bounced contacts are never re-subscribed
Remove the connection any time to stop adding people
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a paid Typeform plan?
Webhooks are a Typeform feature, so check that your Typeform plan includes them.
What if the form has no consent question?
Leave the consent box unticked and every respondent with a valid email is added. Only do this if the form is clearly a signup.
What if someone has unsubscribed before?
They are never re-subscribed by a form response. Only the person can opt back in.
Can I connect several forms?
Yes. Each form gets its own connection, address and secret, and can feed a different list.
